Death Certificate Translation
A civil record identifying the deceased person and listing dates, place of death, declarant, registry-office details, and official annotations.
Starting at $10 per page. Final pricing is confirmed after file review.
Date of death and date of registration
The death, registration and issue dates may differ. Their labels remain distinct in English, as do the place of death and the deceased person's residence. Registry numbers identify the record and must not be confused with identity numbers.
Family members and the declarant
A certificate may identify a spouse, parents, the person reporting the death and the official recording it. The translation preserves those roles. A declarant is not automatically an heir or an executor, and no such status is inferred.
Medical wording and handwritten information
When a certificate includes cause-of-death terminology, abbreviations or handwritten entries, the readable content is translated in context. The translator does not diagnose, expand uncertain abbreviations by guessing or alter the medical record. Clear scans are particularly important for these fields.
Copies for estates and other official uses
Recipients may request a particular certified copy, an attached apostille or additional registry pages. Confirm the source-document requirements separately. The translation quote covers the certificate and attachments you submit; it does not determine inheritance rights or the sufficiency of estate evidence.
