Which records describe your income?

Proof of income is a purpose, not one universal form. Your file may be an employer's salary letter, a benefit statement, a pension record or a statement of self-employment earnings. Identify the exact record requested by the recipient before ordering. Translating a statement does not establish whether that evidence meets a particular income threshold or filing requirement.

Salary, benefits and self-employment figures

A monthly salary, an annual pension and business revenue describe different things. The translation preserves the source's income category, payment frequency and gross or net designation. For self-employment, business receipts must not be relabeled as personal take-home income. If the source does not distinguish revenue from profit, the translator does not infer that distinction.

Currency, dates and the person receiving payment

Currency symbols are retained with the context supplied by the document; an ambiguous dollar sign must not silently become U.S. dollars. No exchange-rate conversion is performed as part of ordinary translation. The payer, recipient and reporting period remain identifiable, even when a document includes more than one person, a former surname or several types of benefit.

Supporting pages and signed declarations

Include pages defining payment terms, explanatory notes, signature blocks and readable stamps that belong to the income statement. A separate attachment can explain whether a figure is recurring or a one-time payment. Send the full set identified for translation and indicate the destination, such as an immigration filing, landlord or other institution, so the quote describes the actual scope.
