A long-form record may reproduce declarations and historical details absent from a short certificate. The translation follows that expanded text. It is not reduced to a list of key fields because those fields are easier to read.

Older handwriting and registry language

Older entries can use historical terminology, abbreviated place names and difficult handwriting. High-resolution images help distinguish letters and numbers. Unreadable passages are addressed explicitly instead of being reconstructed from context.

Later annotations in chronological context

Marginal notes may refer to events many years after the original registration. Their dates and cross-references remain separate from the original entry. An annotation is not presented as if it appeared at the time of birth or marriage.

Connected pages and authentication

Registry book references, continuations, seals and authentication statements may span several sheets. Keep the issued page order and include every sheet. Volume and handwriting can affect the quote even when the document is called one certificate.
