Translate the qualification awarded and its field without substituting a U.S. degree that the source does not name. The wording should communicate the credential, not make an equivalency determination.

Institution and awarding authority

An issuing school, university and accrediting or registering body may appear together. Their roles remain distinct. A proper institutional name can be retained alongside its translated descriptive wording when needed for identification.

Completion, award and registration dates

The date studies ended may differ from conferral, printing or registration. All labeled dates are translated in their own context. A later duplicate diploma does not change the original award date.

Reverse-side registration and related records

The back can contain registration stamps and signatures. Include it when it contains information. If an evaluator also asks for a transcript or syllabus, those are separate records that can be quoted together with the diploma.
